About Email Chart

Independent publication founded in 2023. Editorial standards, named authors, and community guidelines.

Mission

Email Chart helps founders understand why the same HTML looks different in Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail, and how authentication, reputation, and tooling choices affect inbox placement. We publish guides, tool references, and practitioner forum threads. We are an independent editorial project, not a vendor marketing site.

Editorial standards

  • We cite primary sources: Gmail sender guidelines, RFCs, Can I email, and vendor docs.
  • We compare ESPs fairly. Rankings follow numeric scores, sorted descending.
  • We do not invent statistics, funding rounds, or quotes from real people.
  • We disclose when a tool offers an integration or API we discuss.
  • We date updates and name authors on every guide.

Contributors

  • MW
    Marcus Webb
    Independent deliverability consultant

Marcus audits authentication, reputation, and inbox placement for product teams. He spent six years at Postmark running sender onboarding and now consults independently under Webb Deliverability.

  • PD
    Priya Deshmukh
    Indie SaaS founder

Priya bootstrapped a developer-tools startup and runs email ops herself. She writes about founder-friendly deliverability setup, list hygiene on a budget, and when to split transactional and marketing sends.

  • EV
    Elena Vargas
Email developer at a retail agency

Elena builds and QA-tests HTML templates for retail clients at Northline Digital. She tracks client rendering quirks across Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail and publishes practical CSS workarounds.

  • TO
    Tomás Okonkwo
Growth engineer at a DTC brand

Tomás wires lifecycle flows for a mid-size direct-to-consumer brand in Austin. He compares ESPs on automation depth, rendering fidelity, and how quickly a lean team can ship on-brand campaigns.
